I have received information from the makers of TYLENOL®. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post.
This has been a trying week. My 9 year old walked into a wall and has the swollen toes to prove it. My 7 year old has fallen flat on her face trying to ride her new skateboard. My 2 year old has a sore throat. My 2 month old was in the hospital with pneumonia, and my wife and I have headaches from each of them.
As we watched the #HowWeFamily video, we were reminded of how we became a family. Seeing families of different cultures and race caused us to think back to those weeks of 6 hour round trips o visit our kids. It would be more than a year before we stood in front of a judge and she made it official. It’s fitting that Tylenol came out with this video so close to Christmas.
Our FAVORITE part of the video, was when the Dad pops out of the Christmas present. You see, four years ago, on December 20th, our oldest children moved into our house. One with chronic kidney issues (and a need of said Tylenol) and one older brother just looking to protect his sister. This video brought tears of joy to my wife’s eyes as she remembered us before, and us now.
I sometimes feel like I could never function as a Dad… as leader of this family, without the 7th member of our house, Tylenol. I don’t need to be sponsored to sing the praise of this product, because it’s literally with me wherever I go. In adult form, and liquid for the older kids. It’s integral in our parenting. When you have 4 kids, there WILL be pain.
OK – maybe I shouldn’t have given my power hungry daughter a REAL police nightstick for Halloween. My mistake. Thanks, Tylenol.
